Permaculture
Permaculture is a design system devised by Bill Mollison based on ethics. It is a concept of sustainable living realised through good design within a framework which mirrors sustainable landscape architecture. One of the main fundamentals of permaculture is to return surplus back to the system. Design emphasis is placed on the value of elements and the sustainable ecosystemic relationships between them.
A common element used as an example of this is a chicken having both needs and products these attributes are explored to place their interconnectedness’ with other design elements for the most sustainable outcome. The design process realises these elements and attributes helping to create a living environment of ‘abundance’ a system where all surplus is returned to the system.

There is growing scientific evidence that modern high density living environments are a catalyst for social problems such as mental illness and family breakdown. Permaculture by default encourages a re-ruralisation of human environments living amongst naturalistic settlements with interconnected food forests and animal husbandry practices some more familiar of villages before the industrial revolution.
The difference with permaculture is modern technology and building practices are used and celebrated to live a low carbon, low impact happy living community existence which compliments mankind, nature and the planet at the same time. Permanent food sources such as perennial vegetables and orchards with sustainable water usage and eco housing work together to enhance the quality of living of people on Earth.
Eco spaces design team are experts in sustainable landscape architecture and permaculture design ethics and principles. We collectively design and install landscapes with functions including sustainable urban drainage systems to planting schemes which will provide food and insulate buildings to urban food production to waste management and pollution control.
